In the old West, Mountain Men often trapped beaver, mink and otter. This painting depicts a mountain man surprised by a grizzly bear while setting his trap. He has a hell of a choice to make, fight the grizzly or jump off the waterfall. He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He's "Double Damned!" |
